I was taking the scenic route home, to Georgia, from white water rafting in Ocoee River. I was driving down Hwy 411 and stumbled upon the Cohutta Springs Winery and thought I would check it out. this barn was right before the entrance.

Default My Country 'tis of thee...

My entry is a picture of the flag of the United States of America. The meaning of it sadly seems to have been abandoned by our current president...

My first (but not last post) as I just joined today. I love the assignement and am looking forward to future challenges. I hope that I followed the rules correctly. Photo was taken over the past weekend while riding my motorcycle in the mountains.

This picture was taken with my more portable digital camera, an Olympus C3020Z. I am also proud and happy owner of a Canon 40D and intend to post additional (non-political) photo's with it in the very near future for other assignments. It was taken on the top of Brasstown Bald, the site of the 2008 Tour De Georgia - a multi-day, multi-stage bike race through the state of Georgia that ironically and unfortunately (due to the economy) has also been abandoned... at least for now.

Camera: Olympus 3020Z

I rather think that this would fall into the category of either selfishness or stupidity (I hope that they are not yours). For the father (assumed) to be riding with a helmet and not one on his passenger (daughter?) is a particularly dangerous move. I say this as a motorcycle rider. As a photographer, it's kind of interesting, but the stupidity of the action far outweights any photographic license...

That was my first reaction too but kept to myself since I think this is not the place to start it, maybe under critique my shot, but that's about the photography.
