Weathered as in been affected by weather.

Waiting for the storm

Unfortunately I didn't have time to shoot anything new and exciting for this weeks assignment and therefore am out of the competition.

Default Weathered barn latch

Now that this contest is over, I wanted to share this picture. This is an ingenious way for the farmer to have a self-locking door.

DOH.. Too late for the contest....

DSC_3353

Meant to upload this sooner but have been busy with work lately. Anyways this is the house of the winds in Tulum. Aside from it being built by the ancient mayans and having weathered the test of time. It was recently (last month) weathered by Hurricane Dean and the huge waves that crashed into and over the house. Actually the waves reached as far as the house of the paintings which is about 100 meters further inland so you can imagine how big the waves must have been. While I was at Tulum there were archaeologists trying to restore the different buildings that were covered in salt water.

I unfortunately do not know what "Exif" is yet, nor how to keep it...so I hope it's right. (I've had my camera an equivalent of 4 weeks. First GOOD camera!)

A lovely antique scale! =)
Very cool! I like it.
