I just love the difference. The first shot is without the flash and the second was with first curtain flash. I love the difference and there was no photshop work done in the second.

I normally hate using the flash but now im seeing its not a bad thing after all!

Well, this is my first post to the forum. I'm still finding my way around my 2 day old Canon S3 and thought I'd give this assignment a go. Not the greatest photo

What is that? A light stick on a string? Works really well.

Yes, it's a Glow Stick, you know the kind you snap and shake to activate.

Default Something About Dreams

Here are a couple of my favorites from a release party, go to my MySpace Blog to see them all.

For all of these I used the Front flash, I used it front so that the shutter wouldn't have to stay open as long, I still wanted to capture the artist, not just a blob. I like the effect that these show. Keep in mind I had only owned my camera for about 48 hours, and before I had this I was shooting with film - which reacts so differently! But I was pleased with the outcome...

and (below) is a cropped one from the above frame, I like this one a lot, it helped that the guitarist wasn't hard to look at... but, no - really I like the tension in this one better. A friend of mine described this one by saying "SWEET! My favorite is the one where it looks like his guitar is being played by lighting and the guitar strap is on fire!!" (and yes, thats a direct quote)

This one is my personal favorite!! I like the look of this, no this was not edited in any way. I happened to be standing next to someone and I took a frame, and she took one at the "same" time, well the fraction of a second between her flash and mine created this. I love it!!

We were watching some guys on mountain boards in our local park. This was shot with a 50mm at f/1.8 using a rear curtain flash.

EDIT: OK, OK. I posted this in the wrong thread. This was meant to go in the Slow Sync thread, not the Slow Shutter Speed thread. If a mod or admin has the ability to move it, please feel free to do so.
