Default Assignment:

Was in the city the week before the contest. I got a few good shots that won't count for the assignment, but they were fun to get!

I took this picture at the Seattle Mariners home opener today, 14 April 2009. Baseball is my favorite sport, and I haven't missed Opening Day in 4 years now. This is the Home Plate entrance to my favorite Seattle landmark...Safeco Field.

A quick note to edmDusty - if you want your shot to be the last eligible entry, you better get the date taken added in before we start shortlisting!

We're now past 8am GMT on Wednesday 15 April so the contest is now

CLOSED

but you are welcome to keep posting your assignment contributions.

This is an innovative design created by a local engineer. It is a complex of domed structures that primarily are used for tourist accommodation. From the website: These 'green' wooden dome structures are energy efficient, exceptionally strong and flexible (capable of carrying heavy snow-loads and withstanding earthquakes), durable (are expected to out last regular stick frame structures by as much as four times) and cost effective.

It looks like this is the home of hobbits - very cute. Maybe it's part of a hobbit city!
