"Assignment: Strangers"

Taken today, August 18, 2007. Marisela Cantua Guerrero, owner of
Mario's Curios in Nogales Sonora.

Living less than 20 miles north of the border we have easy and direct access
to a wide assortment of Mexican goods and services. Today I was looking
for metal frames for the tile wall hangings I design for a Tubac Gallery.
When I wandered into Mario's Curios I found exactly what I wanted...
and purchased two frames. As they were being wrapped before carting
them to my car, I asked Mario if I could take his photo.
With a big smile, he said "Yes"! Thank you Mario.

Default Assignment: Strangers

Civil War Era

These ladies were in a parade I went to today. It was a commemoration celebration to honor the confederate soldiers that died in the Battle of Lone Jack. I saw them after the parade and asked them if I could take their picture. They were more than happy to pose for me.

Last shot of the day. I took it after a long walk through the villages of NYC. Ended up in Union Square and saw him.

ANy suggestions to make it better? I didnt do any post work on it, so this is just the original shot.

Cheers

Default First Timer

This is my first post and my first assignment here on DPS. I just bought my first SLR so I'm still learning. Everyone here has some amazing creativity.

This first picture didn't come out too well because I was in a rush to taken it. It's for the Assignment. The second was what I would really like to submit because I think it came out better but was take two months ago. You can click the pictures to see my photopage.

I took this with my Panasonic FZ50 in London, somewhere behind Regent Street.

Default The Walk - Assignment:Strangers

A visit to Aldeburgh today in Suffolk and this family caught my eye as they reminded me of us when our girls were that age. As I snapped the little girl just turned round which I think makes the shot.

Assignment Strangers:

This is Terrible Ted, He is a 12ft tall Battling Cumberland Giant. Now thats 'Stranger' than anything else i saw today.

Taken today, in between rain showers at the local fete. Saw 2 other photographers taking pics of the same thing with expensive gear in the rain, so figured i should take my camera out for a while, when it wasn't raining.

Terrible Ted - Cumberland Giant

ike,

**Couldnt think of anything else, didnt want to ask people to take their photo.**
