There is a little time left before this week's assignment closes and I've begun collecting together the images that I think are contenders. I have noticed that a lot of pictures, including some very good ones, don't contain anything that looks like the magic tag "assignment: strangers" and so I'm passing over those.
I probably shouldn't be grumbling, as it makes the job of judging easier (there are also plenty of good pictures which do include that phrase) but here is a chance to go back and double check that you included it. Wulf |

![]() My grown up son - my familiar stranger, no longer know what goes on in his head, nor should I. Wish he'd tidy his room though

assignment: strangers
I didn't get chance to speak to this lady as she was driving the car infront as we went round the safari park, so I can't tell you her story at all. I didn't even notice straight away that it was a contender until I spotted her face in the wing mirror. A lucky shot from that point of view. Just a shame the other car is in the background. ![]() Cheers Tim |

Assignment: my entry for the Strangers mini contest:
I ran into this man while walking down the 16th Street Mall in Lodo. The irony of his sign caught my attention first....the fact that Ronnie made his "living" from tips he got when people asked to take a pic of him and his "movie star dog," Dolly. ![]() Camera: Canon PowerShot G7 Exposure: 0.02 sec (1/50) Aperture: f/2.8 Focal Length: 7.4 mm Exposure Bias: 0/3 EV Flash: Flash did not fire Orientation: Horizontal (normal) X-Resolution: 72 dpi Y-Resolution: 72 dpi Software: Adobe Photoshop CS2 Windows Date and Time: 2007:08:22 09:26:22 YCbCr Positioning: Centered Date and Time (Original): 2007:08:20 03:18:23 Date and Time (Digitized): 2007:08:20 03:18:23 Compressed Bits per Pixel: 3 bits Shutter Speed: 181/32 Maximum Lens Aperture: 95/32 Metering Mode: Pattern Color Space: sRGB Focal Plane X-Resolution: 12710.801 dpi Focal Plane Y-Resolution: 12725.581 dpi Sensing Method: One-chip colour area sensor Digital Zoom Ratio: 3648/3648 Compression: JPEG XMP Date and Time (Original): 2007-08-20T03:18:23-06:00 Image Width: 3648 pixels Image Height: 2736 pixels
