Well, I did say I'd try. I did take more than this one but after I saw the other "eyes", I decided to go ahead and use this one since it was my very first try at my self portrait.
Not much for my face but I guess I did get some negative space there, eh? This was fun!! I'll do better next time, promise! I kind of look like a dear caught in the headlights of oncoming traffic!! ![]() Picture taken: 3/4/09 Flash mode: No flash Focal Length: 100mm F Number: F9 Exposure Time: 1/6 sec. ISO: 400 Metering Mode: pattern Exposure Compensation: -0.3 Aperature Priority

Alright, first off ignore that calendar in the background because someone is going to comment on it I'll tell you what it is now. The first years (I live in on campus housing pitty me now) had a challenge to create the best inter-residence fund raising and the "laundry room lust" calendar series by the guys won. (they decided to make it a group effort) It's just ridiculous poses done of course in the laundry room by the guys every month to raise money for charities. (sells for 2$ a month or 20 for the year)
Second, I just want to point out the face of Agent Smith (antagonist from The Matrix series .. it's the theme ) in the window. It was harder than I thought to do that but I think I finally have it figured out for the most part. Third ... well there is no third but I think announcements should come in threes. Also .. here's the photo. and this is a first so feel free to critique if you feel the desire. ![]() And EXIF Make: Canon Model: Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XT Shutter Speed: 1/4 second F Number: F/3.5 Focal Length: 18 mm ISO Speed: 400 Date Picture Taken: Mar 4, 2009, 10:13:59 AM Thanks for looking!

I am new at digital photography. Are the weekly assignments for pros or experienced photographers or can a beginner like myself be involved. I'll do my best, I'm an artist without enough time so I turned to photography for my creative flow. Thanks for any advice.
