DPS Assignment: Rhythm
These are runners in a 15K race. I think that they are all running in step is a good representation of "rhythm." Taken February 28, 2009. ![]() Camera: Nikon D90 Exposure: 0.025 sec (1/40) Aperture: f/11.0 Focal Length: 60 mm Focal Length: 59.9 mm ISO Speed: 400 Last edited by Chip; 02-28-2009 at 03:27 PM. |

I thought the lines on the telephone pole created a nice rhythm.

****I can't change the title, but I am going to submit another image, So this one is NOT FOR ASSIGNMENT, Mods********
So many images suggesting the idea of rhythm! I've been thinking about this all week, and changed my idea for a submission twice every day. Finally I decided this was going to be my entry: [IMG][/IMG] I see rhythm in the flow led by the lines and arrows, the strikes of color in the buttons, and all happening on that vibrant yellow. I don't know exactly what this measures, but I loves the appearance of the thing itself. Shot, straightened, cropped and framed in black. Hope you like it. Just learning with my new camera and thought I had to start somewhere in posting. I took the opportunity to snap this photo on 2-25-09. It's not often you make it to a bowling alley with fresh waxed floors and noone around. I had basic 'rhythm" on my mind as I took this one. In post I cropped out the distracting hanging signs above the lanes advertising bar prices. I also changed the tones to sepia to give the photo the feeling of old fashion family fun.

The smoke is so beautiful and definitely has rhythm in the circles and waves. How do you photograph smoke?
