I would like to enter this picture in the Assignment Best Of. It was taken in Lawton, Oklahoma in June of 2008. The bison was just walking by when I snapped the picture of him. Post production was done using Corel PaintShop Pro and was sepia toned to give it that 1870's feel from the Buffalo Hunting Days of the Old West period. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did taking it.

Be Different - March 27, 2008
![]() Wow, how exciting! (: This is my first time submitting any of my photography! AGHH, I'm so excited! I hope you guys like it! So this picture is basically a bunch of paper cranes that I've folded over time and I just felt like taking pictures of it one day. I shot this picture when I was 15 and it was one of the first pictures that I've ever taken. But now that I have a new camera (Canon Rebel XSi) and I cant wait to submit more of my photography at DPS in future assignments!! Camera Model: Canon PowerShot SD750 F-stop: f/2.8 Exposure time: 1/200 sec. Assignment: Best of
I feel embarrassed posting with all the amazing photographs that are on here already, but I thought I'd share anyway. This was taken before I got my Nikon D90, so it's just with a point and shoot. It was taken July 1, 2008... what could say summer better than a flag and a sunflower? Last edited by Mindy; 12-31-2008 at 07:55 PM. |

Assignment: Best of
It's been a while since I've posted...I've been so busy!! But I can hopefully find something from 2008 worth submitting here (although picking the BEST is just too hard!). Here's a shot I took just a month ago. Our windows get moisture in them during winter and when it gets very cold, the moisture freezes wonderful frosty ice patterns. In this particular shot, I was able to get the sun in the background, so I thought the lighting turned out really neat. ![]() Camera: Canon EOS 40D Exposure: 0.001 sec (1/1000) Aperture: f/6.3 Focal Length: 70 mm ISO Speed: 400 Exposure Bias: -1/3 EV Flash: Flash did not fire Exposure Program: Aperture priority Date and Time (Original): 2008:12:04 08:44:42 Happy New Year DPS!
