Default My Best of 2008...

My best of 2008 for so many reasons!

2008 was the year I started learning how to take photos "properly" (even if it is only with a P&S)
2008 was the year I finally experienced total happiness
2008 was the year I quit the job I hated
2008 was the year I travelled around the world by myself
2008 was the year I saw this spectacular sunset at Lakes Entrance, Victoria, Australia

My Best of 2008

The photo is straight from camera

Exposure: 0.005 sec (1/192)
Aperture: f/3.6
Focal Length: 7.3 mm
ISO Speed: 50

Not going to win any prizes as it's not technically amazing, but just looking at this photo takes me back to the halfway point of my RTW trip and brings a deep sense of happiness and contentment that I have been lucky enough to have such an amazing experience.

I wanted to capture the absurdity of what my friends were doing. I needed automatic because we were in the darkened garage and I figured I would have one shot at this before they stopped. One was doing sit-ups on the floor while the other was swinging an umbrella around thinking he was a Highlander.

Canon Powershot A710IS
Taken: Dec 14, 2008
ISO Auto
Exposure: 0.017 sec (1/60)
Aperture: f/2.8
Focal Length: 5.8 mm
Flash fired, auto mode, red-eye reduction (which didn't work too well)
