Curious. That's what is known as a "ghost bike," it's an anonymous memorial that a cyclist was either struck by a car or possibly killed there. They are placed at the scene of the incident, locked and left there until the authorities cut the locks and dispose of them.

WOW! I have never heard of this before...I just thought it would make a beautiful image. Thanks SO much for letting me know...Now I find it even more beautiful and poignant!

This is my first time posting. I was making cookies this week (and taking photos of making cookies), and my kitten started poking around my cooking supplies. This is her peering through the (rolled up) plastic sheet I use to roll out dough. I made it B&W in post-processing.
