Back to our weekly assignments and what a way to come back! Crumpler Australia have flipped us five of their awesome "5 Million Dollar Home" camera bags as a prize, one each week for the next five weeks... I wanted to take this opportunity to say THANKS Crumpler!!
The topic this week is *happiness is...* And, therefore is very open to your individual interpretation... Show me a photo of something that makes you happy! A warm fire, a fast car, a good meal, a hot coffee... for me... Happiness is... ![]() A nice cup of coffee... (For example) As ever, the rules... 1. Your image you submit should be taken between the 26th of November and the 10th of December (until one of our ace moderators closes the the mini-contest). 2. Your post must include "Assignment: Happiness is..." (to show your permission to count it for the contest) and the date the picture was taken (to show that it is a valid entry). 3. EXIF data should be intact. It helps if you can include the main points (including camera, lens, date taken, ISO, shutter speed and aperture) in the text of your message. 4. Only one entry per member (if you can't restrain yourself until the end of the first week you can post two or three separate pictures but your entry should be in a separate post and the only marked with the text above). 5. Remember the cross-site image size limit (640px on the longest side). 6. If the image does not exist in post at the end of the contest, it is disqualified. If you modify anything on flickr and re-save the image then the link is broken and the message needs edited to link the picture again before it will be included in the contest. For everyone, please do not repeat other people's photos by quoting them until the contest is over. If you want to comment on or discuss an entry you can use a link to it (or just delete the picture from the quoted text). Thanks again G-Tech for providing us with the awesome g-drive Q : I will be choosing a winner for that before this saturday, to be announce, on saturday on the DPS blog. Next weeks theme is : Christmas decorations (It's nearly that time!) Sime™

Anyone else old enough to remember what happiness is?
To a Frenchman it's the Eiffel Tower, To a Dutchman it's a pretty flower, To an Indian it's a monument, To a smoker, it's a Kent! Happiness is...the taste of Kent Happiness is...the taste of Kent Happiness is...the taste of Kent More taste, fine tobacco That's what happiness is! Ah, those were innocent times!

Assignment: Happiness is...
A spark of an unexplainable happiness hits me, telling myself that I would be and will ever be the proudest parent in this whole wide world. Being so much blessed with a wife and a son, I couldn’t help but wonder how great God is. He has showered upon us the greatest gift a couple has ever wanted to have. After all the pressures of rushing them to the hospital; the exhausting feeling I have had while my wife was delivering the baby and bringing all those stuffs they needed, I nearly catch a breathe thinking how is it to be called a father. So far, I’ll just let things be as what God has planned for me and my family. I’d simply enjoy this very moment watching my son grow and discover his environment little by little. ![]() Camera: Sony DSLR A700 Shutter: 1/60 Aperture: f/5.6 Focal Length: 40.0 mm ISO Speed: 100 Exposure Bias: 0 EV Flash: Flash fired ![]() Camera: Sony DSLR A700 Shutter: 1/80 Aperture: f/7.1 Focal Length: 50.0 mm ISO Speed: 100 Exposure Bias: 0 EV Flash: Flash fired |
