Hi, I am new to this forum as well as new to being serious about photography. I have always been a reasonably good happy snapper. Now I am saving for a DSLR and teaching myself through the web how to be a better photographer. A good start would be to at least have a camera bag!
![]() My car seat is my bag at present - I just throw a jumper over it all when I have to leave it all in the car! This was taken with my 11 year old daughters Canon PowerShot A580. I look forward to learning from everyone on this site! Cheers! PS; I'm not sure yet how to find the exif info. FOUND IT - Thanks Swedishwitch! Camera: Canon PowerShot A580 Exposure: 0.017 sec (1/60) Aperture: f/3.2 Focal Length: 8 mm ISO Speed: 250 Exposure Bias: 0/3 EV Flash: Flash fired, auto mode, red-eye reduction Orientation: Horizontal (normal) X-Resolution: 180 dpi Y-Resolution: 180 dpi Date and Time: 2008:11:07 09:41:41 YCbCr Positioning: Centered Date and Time (Original): 2008:11:07 09:41:41 Date and Time (Digitized): 2008:11:07 09:41:41 Compressed Bits per Pixel: 3 bits Shutter Speed: 189/32 Maximum Lens Aperture: 107/32 Metering Mode: Pattern Color Space: sRGB Focal Plane X-Resolution: 14506.667 dpi Focal Plane Y-Resolution: 14485.207 dpi Sensing Method: One-chip colour area sensor Digital Zoom Ratio: 3264/3264 Compression: JPEG Image Type: IMG:PowerShot A580 JPEG Image Number: 1070271 Last edited by aussiegem; 11-07-2008 at 03:03 AM. I haven't yet taken any photos for this assignment because my first dSLR arrives tomorrow. Yeah! So I will have a few days to see if I can get used to it in time to submit a photo. I need a new bag for all my gear. P.S. Sony has No payments & No interest for 24 months through Nov 8, so I couldn't pass up that deal. Although I did go check Canon's site for a better/matching deal for a couple days first. But I should be the happy owner of a Sony Alpha by this time tomorrow. I thought I was going to be a point-and-shooter for a few more months.
