It was a good sized lake but not really much breeze. I had been taking still reflection shots, but the ladies fishing combined with sapphire sky and the touch of fall color in the leaves here in Ohio were making some neat effects.
I don't remember if I was on auto mode or playing with manual settings (which I've been working at all summer, but is still pretty new to me), but I just kept clicking away. Digital is so freeing that way. Thank so much for your comments! |

I'm new and I'm not sure what the things mean that the other students have posted (camera specifics). I'll try to do it for the next assignment. Thanks, Hannah (shepherdsrest2)

Ok, this is my 1st attempt at the assignment.
Wanted to take a picture of this darn hydro pole outside my house. It's on a busy corner with lots of folks passing by. Everything from a local garage sale to a lost tabby has been "stapled" to that pole. Must have thousands of old staples on it. I felt a real jerk - tripod et al, taking a shot of a pole. Yes, there were a few folks asking what was I doing I pretended they didn't exist!I decided to leave the blue car in the background because I wanted it to have some connection to the street ... if that makes any sense. Hopefully the EXIF data shows up if not: Camera: Canon 40D Lens: EF50mm f/1.8 II Exposure: 1/4sec at f/16 Flash: None Date: Oct 7th 2008 Attire: Open toe sandals ![]() Enjoy.
