Change

I'm totally new here and this seems like the most fun place to jump in. I borrowed a friend's Nikon D50 to try it out. I took this by tossing a handful of change onto the trunk of my car. When I read the assignment I though this would make a good picture for the Wachovia Way2Save promotion where they will help you build your savings account by rounding up your credit card charge and transfer it to your savings account.

From the exif data:
# Nikon D50 not sure what lens exactly.
# Exposure: 1/320 sec
# Aperture: f/5.6
# Focal Length: 68mm
# ISO Speed: 200

It's a Guinness Nation. War Guinness.

I didn't even notice they were posted at the same time. Wicked.

Mmmmm... beeeeeer..

Well, here goes my first try at dPS assignment.

Camera: Olympus C-5000Z
Exposure: 0.04 sec (1/25)
Aperture: f/3.2
Focal Length: 7.8 mm
ISO Speed: 320
Exposure Bias: 0/10 EV
Flash: Flash did not fire

I don't know if we're allowed to properly promote stuff here, but if you're curious, I linked to the company on my Flickr. It's dang good stuff!

Also, I 'shopped it a little. The glowy bottle was done by putting a darker overlay layer over the entire picture and then using the soft-edged eraser to remove the bits over and around the bottle.

I was hungry today and while I was eating my thin spaghetti (with just canned diced tomatoes mixed with a bit of olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic, oregano, and parsley flakes), I noticed how tasty this really looked! Luckily I had some more and moved some onto a small dish on my kitchen table and used the natural light coming from the window to the left of me. I would like to think this is for a restaurant advertising a dish of their food, for spaghetti, or even the company who made the diced tomatoes.

Delizioso!

Default Assignment: Product Photography - "Store Mannequin"

My first post here and all your work is so fabulous. This is pretty daunting for me.
This mannequin caught my eye, but could not photograph the whole body. Shame. Also I liked the backdrop. I added two vertical lines, copy & pasted some of the top of the photograph, reversed the whole image, added text. So not sure if this is legit to do.
