I come from Hamburg, so if I don't have some water around, I die. So I am happy that we at least live next to a canal...

Default Slowly getting with the program: here's my water pic

Almost 'stopped'
My first attempt at stopping action of water. With my P/S Canon SD800. A real honey of a camera. This may be too light. But...I hope you like it. C/C welcome

Hey Slim

My six year old just walked in and saw your photo and said "that's magic!". Thought I'd pass it on.

Hiya,

Brand new member here...thought I'd get my feet wet, appropriately, in the Water assignment!

Saxe Point

This photo was taken using my Canon A700 at Saxe Point Park, in Victoria. I was taking pictures of the sunset, then, without any reason whatsoever, turned around and saw this picture.

Pilot Boat

This one was taken of Pacific Pilot Two, at the Ogden Point docks. Had a beautiful day during the summer (those of you familiar with the Pacific Northwest know how seldom this is). Walked out along the breakwater, snapping pictures as I went.

Thought I'd start my membership of these forums with a post.
I really like the composition and 'moment' of this picture (One of my friends at a kayak slalom training), but it was the inspiration for my saving up for a new camera. My Powershot A620 gets rather noisy in low light/high action shots.

Emma

It also needs a bit of post processing, but I'm completly new to that field, and haven't had time to play yet.

Slurp

Still, life

Yes it's water; thought it might go in still life, but it moved.
