Default Assignment: Automode

This was harder than I thought it would be. I was playing around trying to shoot our Red, White & Blue Patio lights when I saw the glow around the football and had to give it a try. I liked the way it turned out...just in time for football season!

Default Assignment: Auto-Mode

I was enjoying an afternoon in the pool and saw an opportunity to take some pictures of the wind blowing the pool toys around the pool.

Post Assignment: Auto-Mode

Shattered Waves, Concrete Beach

Glass swells across empty pavement, echoes of nature in a scene made by humans. Auto mode led to an inaccurate white balance, but the modified color seemed to me to work in the picture's favor....

Photo taken with my Fujifilm FinePix F20 on 2008-08-12 at 17:39:39, 1/400 of a second, f/2.8, focal length 8.0 mm, ISO 100. [More exif data available at Flickr.]

Default Assignment: Auto-Focus

IMG_1647

The morning after. A friend came round for a beer this was the end result. I had fun with full auto, it really makes you think about how you put stuff together, although it is very difficult to control the focus point. This is a little abstract but I liked the feel that came from the shadows. I'm new to photography and this is my first assignment post. I hope there will be many more.

Camera: Canon EOS Kiss X2
Exposure: 0.008 sec (1/125)
Aperture: f/4
Focal Length: 56 mm
ISO Speed: 200
Canon Flash Mode: External flash
Easy Mode: Full auto
Lens: Tamron 28 - 75mm f/2.8

Camera: Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT
Exposure: 0.017 sec (1/60)
Aperture: f/6.3
Focal Length: 300 mm
ISO Speed: 400
Exposure Bias: 0/2 EV
Flash: Flash fired, auto mode, red-eye reduction
i love this shot! fantastic photo, Deb!

I've noticed the last couple of pictures have had "Assignment: Auto-focus" and not "Assignment: Auto-mode" as their title. It looks like those are fine (checking full details on Flickr) but I thought I'd mention it in case anyone is in a rush and adds a picture done with auto focus in a mode other than auto

... and speaking of rushing, only a little while left before we close this one down ready to start the next!
