What about all those fantastic pictures I am going to take in late May and June?

Still, I have been picking a favourite shot every month - you can see the set on Flickr or read a little about each photo on my blog (see del.icio.us for index).

Here is the photo I picked for January 2006, when I was beginning to get to grips with having moved up to the world of DSLR shooting:

Incense Smoke #12

Pearl District Benches

I posted this on a previous assignment but it is one of my favorites....I also recently just took this and am really liking it, especially after some advice from the critique forum.

Acck! I needed to get here sooner! My favorite was a dandelion pic, but Leisa already did one and my second choice was colored smoke (drat you, Wulf ). So I'll go with this because after numerous tries (and a little help from Leisa), I finally got a decent one.

Default I Still Love You Juliet

The great Shakespearian Love... What would it be if it had lasted?

I Still Love You Juliet

I think I'm generally after pictures that have a strong impact.

This is going to be a very interesting thread..

The best photograph is the one imposing the questions and not necessarily providing the answers.

Guacamole, In Progress

I love food, I love cooking food, I love taking pictures of my food, and even though my new camera is nice, my old one lets you get up way more up-close and personal.

Look at those tasty seasonings!

Does "best" mean technically a good shot or "best" as in my fave?

One of my best in composition is this one (and yes, I'm still a rank amateur, I see a lot of ways I could improve the shot)

and then my fave so far this year is:

Default Only one?

This is pretty much my only good shot with my new camera.....but I have only had it like 4 days.

Tried to do some lightning last night as we had a huge set of storms come in....alas didn't have the right camera settings, although I was on the right track, and all but 2 (out of like 100) were either didn't get lightning or was fuzzy because of lack of tripod...gotta get one of those.

Anyways....so here is my best/only good shot so far. This photography stuff is fun tho.

Default My best shot this year

Little Foot
I took this while out getting shots for the Spring Assignment - I like the simplicity of it and the mix of green and skin tones feels good.
