I believe this to be an Orb Weaver. I have a few photos of this as well.

Default Hansel & Gretel's Path

Hansel and Gretel's Path

This doesn't count towards inclusion in this week's assignment because the image was taken over a month ago but I wanted to share it to contribute to the wonderful collection of naturally framed images.

When I took this I felt an eerie sense of what lay ahead of Hansel and Gretel on the fateful day they entered the forest...

This, too, was taken too early for the assignment, but desert flowers don't wait. This is one of my favorite photos; a palo verde tree in full bloom, framed by a mesquite tree.

When "Hemi" is headed toward you, you snap quickly. He has just dislodged a cholla segment from his upper lip. It can be seen falling down near his chest.

I wondered if anyone knew what kind of spider it was. Thanks so much!
