This doesn't count for entry for the assignment, but it fits perfectly into the theme.

I took this in Venice last fall while my husband and I were out walking. There was a mask vendor on the Rialto bridge that was yelling at the tourists who stopped to take pictures of the masks. So just because I knew I wasn't allowed to take pictures, I made sure the flash was off and as we walked by I pushed the shutter while the camera was hanging around my neck. I got really lucky with the composition from the vantage point that I had and this actually turned out to be one of my favorite Venice pictures.

This is a shot that I took on a whim. My farrier was getting irritated because I wanted to keep taking pics and he couldn't do his job!

Our cat Syrah "hunting in the jungle"....a mouse's perspective
Syrah
I took about 20 pictures to get this. Just Crop/Sharpen and added vignett. Not quite what I wanted...I wanted to get her crouched, "prowling thru the grass", but most of those had grass cutting off an eye or something...Actually most pics had grass in the way, probably because I simply held the camera in the tall grass and pointed the lens at her thru it.
Nikon 300D w/ Sigma 10-20mm set at 10mm.

kellyk - very cool story and capture

sk66 - I think that is a great shot! I, too, have discovered it's hard getting those shots in the grass w/o the grass covering up everything!
