Sight. A closeup of my girlfriend's eye. And if you look closely into the eye, you can see me taking the shot!

Saw this fella last Friday near the Colorado River not too far from Hoover Dam. He was watching me, smelling me, and listening intently. I kept the distance as I didn't want him to touch me, or for me to end up tasting dirt.

So all I could think of was, coffee... but since I only had hot chocolate at home, I decided to do something with that! I finally tried that 'water drop' technique, except that it was with hot chocolate. Took me a couple of tries, but I like how it turned out !

Hot Chocolate Drops

It says it was taken on the 27th, but I labeled my dates wrong on the camera, so I actually took it on the 26th! Haha.

I am very new to photography. I enjoy looking at your photos. I used a Canon Power Shot A 530 set on auto. This will not be able to duplicate what other photograpers can, but I liked the photo in part because the man being photograped truly loves his rose garden and the smell of the roses. He looks forward to their return each year. The expression on his face is real. The flowers are in contrast to the urban environment. He planted them. There is a special bond between them.
