My parents and I have been going to the Lilac Parade together for 19 years. Last year was the first year that I really tried to take pictures of the parade after dark. It didn't go very well. This year, however, I have a whole year of experience under my belt that helped turn out some really great shots. True they needed a bit of post processing, but not as much as you might think. This picture was taken 45 minutes to an hour after sunset, hand held. There's always kids sitting in front of me, so I didn't bother with a tri-pod. I may try it next year. The PP included, cropping, taking out a billboard (we've sat on the same corner for 10 - 12 years so I didn't have the luxury of choosing my location
), color saturation, brightness/contrast and blurring/sharpening.![]() EXIF Camera Model: Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XT Exposure time: 1/100 sec. Aperture: f/5.6 Focal Length: 75 mm ISO: 1600 ![]() Skarlett

I know this really shouldn't be posted but I really like this shot of mine that was taken in Prague with a 6 sec. exposure right after sunset.
