Default Assignment: Low Light/Night Photography

I admit to being embarrassed to post this, but it is the "best" and most salvageable low light/night shot I have out of well over 100 shots of the moon, flowers, street lights. Pathetic, huh?

The only way I could think of to salvage it's poor quality and Xtreme boringness was to do a bit of selective coloring and give it a name:

Land of the Midnight Sun

Land of the Midnight Sun

There, isn't the photograph a lot more artsy now?!

I'm not sure what I learned with this assignment other than my little Canon Powershot A80 can't do the moon well, and how much I need to work in this area!

Hi, I've been reading this forum for a while and I've just registered. This picture is not for the assignment.
I took it in february this year, in Bucharest, at the last big snow of the the winter.

Not for assignment: Aha, we think alike. This was one of the first shots I took when I purchased my camera...just messing around.
