Have a browse through the list of Frequently Asked Questions - information about signatures is part of it as well as other stuff you may find useful.

I am in love with my 50mm lens and find myself shooting wide open most of the time. The DOF is great.
Me too! I just got my first dslr a few weeks ago and I haven't even tried out the kit lens yet - I love my nifty fifty too much - especially wide open.

Cute cat and picture, btw

Default For Assignment Wide Open

I don't know if I'm too late for the mini or not, but what the heck?

Abandoned Tracks

It looks better at full size. My lens has noticible distortion when wide open, but I didn't think it would be right to fix it in pp for this assignment.
