More difficult than anticipated to get a good "minimalist" composition of this stuff than I thought it would be. There is a lot more of it in some areas of the lake, and in beautiful surroundings that can lead to amazing landscape compositions; it's hard to ignore everything else! Ultimately I chose an area that has a "minimal" amount of tufa protruding through the surface of the lake.

They remind me of meerkats!

Raindrop Hiding Behind Daffodil
In envisioning the concept of minimalism, I thought of objects that appear small but are profound because they are surrounded by potential space. Islands in a big sea, a single star on a dark night, a sole tree in a field, a tower emerging through fog, and, yes, perhaps raindrops on the back of a daffodil petal...
