![]() Guard Duty I like these paper wasps. They're fascinating and non-aggressive. You can just see a larva in one of the cases (at least, I'm guessing that's what it is.) Regarding being non-aggressive, you obviously haven't knocked one of their nests. I've been attacked a number of times(their sting is 10 times worse than our native wasp) and unlike our usual wasp these little buggers will chase you for quite a distance. I now remove their nests with a long extendable gardebn pole in one hand & a can of spray in the other as backup. I also make a run for it after knocking the nest off it's perch. They are not nice, they kill our native bees and predate our very few butterflies. PS- these are the more common Asian paper wasps, we also have European paper wasps but not in any great number.
