spring 2008 026-2

Out of all the hundred-whatever pictures I came up with, (I give the term "snap-happy" a whole new meaning) this one, I think, came out the best. Not very "out of the box," but I like the contrast of the verdant green with the bleak everything else.

I decided this was a better spring entry. Thanks for letting me share!
Nice shot, Dave P. Looking back over all of these entries, I think this is one of my favorites. Simple, but I love the bokeh, the way the background hints at winter and contrasts against the bird's bright spring colors, and the overall composition. Well done!

Default Assignment: Spring

I actually went out and took this shot on May 10.
Spring is very late arriving here in central Canada so I had to really look closely to find even the slightest hint of colour in my yard.
Even once I found these tulip buds, everything else in the frame was so dark and wintry that I became intimidated looking at all the other beautifully colourful shots here and decided not to post.
I think I'm glad I've changed my mind.

Pitiful Spring

Default Spring Fever

How cool is it that you also caught the ladybugs mating?
