My Son's High School soccer team won the Regional state tournament and advances to the Final 4 State match. Newsworthy enough for front page of sports section with photo.

I'm running out of time, so this will have to do...Money Smart Week kicked off today in Bloomington, courtesy of the Chicago Federal Reserve. It's an excellent effort supported by the Fed, banks and other businesses to promote financial literacy. That's "Benjamin Franklin" in the center with tri-hat, facing away. Wasn't able to get his face.

This is too old for the mini-contest, but I wanted to post it. This was a miniature chuck wagon race that I actually did write a news article about. The guys build these miniature chuck wagons, then have a race, using miniature horses to pull. Great fun!

This is not for the mini-contest either - too old. This was a young team of miniature horses, pulling a miniature chuck wagon, that ran away during a race. The driver couldn't get them under control, so a couple of guys helped him out! I did write a news article on the race and connected events at that function. Great fun!

What about the folks in the Southern hemishpere? Given that the assignment pic should be taken during the week concerned, and that we are more likely to be seeing snow that new growth and rebirth.
