Thanks Mr. Intensity, I'm still trying to get the right way of posting my pictures in the forums. But I appreciate the comment.

Default not for assignment

PIne1

I had to post this photo for those of you who haven't had the "pleasure" of pine pollen in the spring!

Default Assignment: News (yes, the pollen count is news in Atlanta in the spring!)

Metro Atlanta Pollen Report
April 7, 2008

Today’s Pollen Count is:
1705

The pollen count is the
amount of pollen particles measured
within the last 24 hours in a cubic meter of air.

+120 = Extremely high
(Note from editor: Most years’ count reaches almost 6000!)

Today's primary allergens: Oak, sweet gum, birch
(Note from editor: NOT yet pine!)

Pine3

Pine pollen disburses itself with the wind, although this shot has a little help from the photographer shaking the branch slightly. Every spring golden strobilus form on millions of pine trees and metro Atlanta is covered with greenish-yellow pollen that finds its way into every nook and cranny of your home if you should happen to leave the windows open. On a typical day you can watch the wind produce billows of pollen from the trees. Oddly enough, allergists tell us that because the pollen itself is so large that most people aren't bothered by it.

Does the pollen show up enough here or is there a technique I could use to bring it out a touch more…or should I leave as it? Thanks! Debbie, ace allergan reporter!

Default Espírito Santo na Camacha

In Camacha (Madeira Island, Portugal), we celebrate a tradition, involving the christian "Holly Spirit".

This man is the "Imperador" (the emperor). It's a big popular celebration, lasting 3 days, from Saturday to Monday.
