Took this picture a day before I signed up here at DPS. I'm kinda new with photography and I'm still getting my head around even the most basic stuff. This picture was taken on a rainy day, reflected off the side of my car. It's like my first attempt at something "abstract". Lol.

Default Waterworks

Hi: I'm new here, but have been into photography for over 40 years...and I'm still learning. That's what makes photography fun--there's always something new to learn--a different way to do things.
Anyway...I saw the assignment for Waterworks and thought I would submit this one:

Edit: How do I post photos here? The link to Yahoo Photos doesn't work!

GerryB - try right clicking on the image and selecting properties. Then you should be able to see the image url. Copy that and paste it in the box that appears when you select the "insert image" button.

really nice shots everyone... I don't have a lot of success with water shots... I've tried falls twice but only miniature ones when I just happened to come upon them and wouldn't you know I didn't have a tripod at either occasion.

That's what I did. It may be an issue with image size--it may be tooo large. I will resize and try later.

I'm another newbie here. I just found DPS and it looks like a great resource to improve and share my photography.

Anyway, I looked through my collection and found some nice water pictures. They are both kinda from the same perspective, but in different locations and with a different twist.

Lincoln City
This is from the beach in Lincoln City, Oregon.
Taken with my Kodak Easyshare LS753.

Puget Sound
This if from the shore of Puget Sound on Widbey Island, Washington.
Taken with my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ7.

Please Critique my effort toward this subject!!
The mirror of water has just been broken and each port has become a little sun. This breakage is a symbol of Flowing,If there was no flow , there would never be the little suns and the whole structure would become morass.
I call the photo: The mirror of water
