When I first tried this panning technique I failed miserably. Couldn't get the motion correct. So I had to lower my standards.

Obviously not for assignment.

Taken in December, so does not qualify for the assignment. This was taken while passing through a structure of lights sitting in the car. The car moving ahead through the archs created the effect fo lights moving backwards.

This was hard in that I had to get the dogs to stay, then place the all important ball on the other end of the yard. Get myself in position, get ready to pan and release the dogs ... took a lot of shots to get the right settings and get the panning right, but the dog in front is ball obsessed, so he didn't mind

I ran into a problem with the Wikipedia link above; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panning_%28camera%29 seemed to work better for me.

Given that I've never done a single panning shot before, I'm going to need all the help I can get!
