Default Latest Assignment | Monochrome

Simply Enough

Camera: Nikon D80
Exposure: 1.6 sec (8/5)
Aperture: f/9
Focal Length: 90 mm
ISO Speed: 640
Exposure Bias: -3 EV

This was lit by one (maybe two) candles, and then converted to b&w.

Belle Toute 3
Belle Tout light house. East Sussex.UK.(Near Beachy Head).
A couple of years ago they moved the whole lighthouse about 100Ft away from the cliff edge. In one lump!

Can we take in color and then transfer to Monochrome, or do we have to shoot in Monochrome? Or is that our judgement call?

Of course. After all, not everyone's camera has the feature to shoot in B&W, plus, the conversions often look much nicer when you have control over how it's converted.
