As I mentioned last week, we've got a great little give away to the winner of this week's assignment! The winner will grab themselves a great little external drive from G-Technology! ....but, to win that, you have to submit your best "On The Go" photo... We're always on the go, doing something, going here going there! Hurrying businesswoman, Late for work commuter, rushing postman... we're all "on the go" ![]() ![]() If you're feeling up to it - there's also a great competition that the guys at G-Technology are currently running "Driven Creativity" You can read more about it over here - There's FIVE THOUSAND EURO up for grabs, and a stack of G-Tech drives... get busy! As always, rules: (with a few extra at the bottom as there's a prize) Just a note to new posters: DO NOT start a new thread for your post. Please just hit the reply button at the bottom of any current post and put your image there. 1. Your original image you submit should be taken between the 30th of June and the 14th of July. Each week as an assignment closes on the Wednesday, it will be AUTOMATICALLY deemed *CLOSED* after 8am GMT ( 3am EST) and any posts after that time will not be eligible for the assignment competition. Don't wait until the last minute to post! 2. Your post must include "Assignment: On The Go" (to show your permission to count it for the contest) and the date the picture was taken (to show that it is a valid entry). 3. EXIF data should be intact. It helps if you can include the main points (including camera, lens, date taken, ISO, shutter speed and aperture) in the text of your message. 4. Only one entry per member (if you can't restrain yourself until the end of the first week you can post two or three separate pictures but your entry should be in a separate post and the only marked with the text above). It must be an original image taken by you. 5. Remember the cross-site image size limit (740px on the longest side). (If it's wider than the image above, it's disqualified) 6. If the image does not exist in post at the end of the contest, it is disqualified. If you modify anything on flickr and re-save the image then the link is broken and the message needs edited to link the picture again before it will be included in the contest. For everyone, please do not repeat other people's photos by quoting them until the contest is over. If you want to comment on or discuss an entry you can use a link to it (or just delete the picture from the quoted text). 7. If you are looking for the winners of the mini-contest, please check the front page of the DPS blog Saturday late afternoon (EST) and here. 8. The prize is one 500gb G-Tech Mobile Drive, there is no cash alternative. We don't want the rights to your photos, but the winners image, as always, will be posted on the front page of dPS. We will post the drive to wherever you live if it is legal to do so. NEXT WEEK: "In The Kitchen" I've taken many photos in the kitchen and I know you can get VERY creative in kitchens - I want to see yours, and I want it to be VERY creative!

We are on holiday this week and I took this today. I am without any editing software so this is SOOC. I love it! It captures kids 'on the go' in the summer

![]() My husband is at the top of the picture. We are walking, no--hiking up the Manitou Springs Incline in Manitou Springs, CO. The Incline is an old railway that used to have cable cars to take visitors up to the top of the mountain. In 1990, the railway was shut down and the rails removed. Since then, it is probably THE most popular hiking area in the Colorado Springs area because it's such a strenuous hike. 5000 steps, 1 mile, and the vertical increase is 2000 ft. I've called it the Ultimate StairMaster and said that only crazy people get out and hike or run (yes, I said run) on it. This was our first visit. I'll never run on it, but one day, I really want to make it to the top. ![]() -00- EXIF: Camera: Nikon E3200 Focal Length: 9 mm F-Number: F/3.4 Exposure Time: 1/256 sec.
