Assignment: "Mid-Day Portraits"

Cold Day, Warm Smile

It was quite a windy boat ride, but the water and the white paint on the boat made for some great natural reflectors!

Default Assignment: Mid Day Portraits

I asked my daughter to pose for me while we were at the pool, and she told me 'fine, but I'm keeping my ice cream.' I am new to DSLR and use an old Nikon lens on my Canon camera, so I am still figuring out the lighting. For this picture, besides adjusting up the ISO, I used a flash. (focus also is challenging.) I also had the reflection of the pool water behind and to the right of me. The aperture cannot be set with the Nikon lens, but I had it at 9.0 prior to changing lenses
