This is only the second time I have made an entry and, for the life of me, can't remember how I succeeded to add a photo the last time. (Must be "Old Timers Disease") Adding link just in case the embedded photo doesn't work:
Assignment: Film Noir on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

"Film Bleu" maybe?

You can check back in the FAQ which will give you an illustrated guide.

Thanks! I rather like how it came out.
She was actually having a ton of fun with it. This was just part of the overall photoshoot but she loved the Nerf gun.

I don't fully understand how one is suppose to enter a photo for an assignment and have not had a chance to read through this web site. As of yet, I was going to try and make a photo for the Film Noir assignment but i am not a photographer ( I am wanting to learn though and is why I found this site and signed up).

While I realize this photo is too late to be considered. I would appreciate any comments on the photo I took the other night, would it be considered Film Noir?

This photo is of my Gretsch Corvette lying on my hardwood floor hallway and using above lighting (hallway light).

I do not know what EXIF is yet? I took this with a Canon Powershot 540 in scene mode (color accent)

First of all I love the guitar, quite a beauty you have there!

Here is a brief excerpt from wikipedia - "The low-key lighting schemes of many classic film noirs are associated with stark light/dark contrasts and dramatic shadow patterning".

While your shot does have some shadows... in my opinion there aren't really areas of stark light/dark. So (in my opinion) this isn't quite film noir style. But, I love the guitar and it is a nice shot even if it isn't film noir.

Question about the close hour

This was supposed to be my first post, photo, participation, etcetera. It's late for me because I found this great site a few days ago and I'm still trying to remember and practice the basics of photography. 30 years is a long time. The point is that I don't want to be late again so when you say that is closed because is 8am GMT, and considering that I live in the Caribbean (Puerto Rico), what would be my 'dead time'.? Any comment in my photo will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Fego

At the top of every page is your choice of suscriptions. If you subscribe to the weekly, you'll see the winners announced in the weekly update. I would suggest you subscribe to the daily update also. What the heck! Why not.
