Default Assignment: Eyes

Long-sighted Close-up

This is my right eye (and partial face) taken close up with my 90mm lens. I have applied some post processing to make the colour a bit stronger and to crop for a slightly better composition but the blur is all from (deliberately) using the wrong lens for the job.

I have called it "Long-sighted Close-up"; I wanted to put my own spin on the assignment so thought of how some human eyes see rather than the crisply sharp way our camera eyes sometimes see for us.

BTW, if you can't make out my face, try the smaller version:

Long-sighted Close-up

Default My cat

Hey guys!
Not too much to say here. Just my cat looking fairly evil. Fun assignment, but there are definitely some better pictures than this one out in the thread.

Default Not for assignment "A birds eye view"

BlueHeron1

This one's too old, but I love this pic I took of a great blue heron here in a Boise park. He was watching me while I snapped away.

I love the needle, the bug and the fly. Of course, the kids

I have something in mind, but can't seem to get my point-n-shoot camera's macro mode to cooperate. It only wants to take a sharp picture so far away that the subject is only 80 pixels wide

Look in your camera's manual for the minimum focus distance in macro mode. Then use a ruler to measure from the end of your lens to your subject. ;-)
