soooooo a "good" photographer not only can work behind the lens but in the darkroom or computer whichever the case may be .... I was kind of under the impression tweaking was cheating ..... no wonder I am struggling so much!!! LOL and BTW I already realized the date stamp had to go ... THANKS!!!! YOU ROCK!

Hi Zapp!

I'm flattered by your comment. Never expected one especially a comment like yours. Just more than a month old in learning photography.

My advice, just keep shooting and you'll definitely learn a lot.

Thanks!

Of course I HAD to help my pregnant wife with picking a crib so I didn't beat anyone else with a candle idea, however, here is the pic I liked best from my shots tonight...

@ zapp:

I don't consider tweaking to be "cheating." I used to, until I realized that it usually meant doing digitally the same things I would be doing in a darkroom. When I make prints from film, I don't give a second thought to cropping an image, dodging and burning to get just the right exposure on the paper, and adding contrast filters. Why should it be any different digitally?

As Ansel Adams once said, "You don't take a photograph, you make it."
