Default Assignment: Food Photography - Main Dishes

I live in France and realise that with the time difference I may be too late to participate.
Is the assignment closed yet ?
Picture taken yesterday 22 Feb with my Canon G10.

I think you probably should have gone for a narrower aperture, giving you a wider depth of field. At the moment a lot of the image is blurred, including the two strongest areas of colour. This is particularly the case with the orange/yellow area at the bottom of the shot. I imagine you were trying to draw the eye to the burger with the trick of focusing but a less vivid plate would be a better strategy towards that.

This is a super easy, delicious, cheap comfort food dish that I made. It's called Pasta with Peas and you can get the recipe from Clara! Google "Depression Cooking"! It's delicious!
