*EDIT: As this idea wasn't working very well, I changed it so you could just post a pic with the quote you had in mind added. No one has to guess the quote anymore. Just a different spin on a thread that wasn't working too well:o. We'll see what happens;)!

As I was looking for ideas for my threesixtyfive (http://www.flickr.com/groups/threesixtyfive/) self-portraits, I found this group called "Movie Quotes (http://www.flickr.com/groups/moivequotes/)." Thought it might be a good idea for a game.

Take a pic that represents a quote from a movie, and we'll see if we can guess it. Doesn't have to be an exact replica from the movie, just something that fits the quote. Pretty simple. If your stuck, check here (http://www.cnn.com/2005/SHOWBIZ/Movies/06/22/film.moviequotes.list.ap/index.html) for inspiration. If no one guesses in 24 hours, give us the quote and the movie. It doesn't have to be a new pic.

Example:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/23733128@N00/2092947641/" title="Day 96 threesixtyfive OZ by saralonde, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2085/2092947641_8323e9eb54.jpg" width="364" height="500" alt="Day 96 threesixtyfive OZ" /></a>

Answer: "There's no place like home."

I'll start:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/23733128@N00/90357248/" title="Untitled by saralonde, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/17/90357248_f0ed6fba3c.jpg" width="500" height="315" alt="" /></a>

Yeah, pretty easy, huh?

If you can post one, do it, if not, say you pass.

OK, this may be a harder game than I thought . I'll give it a little more time, then changes might be in order.

Firemaine, I have no idea!

shouldn't it be a thing were firemaine would wait to see if his answer was right....if we don't some might not even be answered..

Guessing really slows down a thread (Guess My Macro, for instance). Is it nearly as much fun to simply post one with Quote given? Like:

"You lookin' at me?" ("Taxi Driver," DeNiro)

I like that idea better than guessing. It would let the thread/game flow better.

Good it's switched! Post a pic with a quote and have fun with it as long as it lasts :).

And never let me invent a game again .

mine was from Animal Crakers..."You know, I'd buy you a parachute if I knew it wouldn't open."

Kpclark1959,

No way no how I'd ever gotten that! A classic, nonetheless.

Saralonde,

It's a good idea, just suffers from the erratic human behavior that leaves other threads sitting in limbo, or piled up with unguessed numbers of entries.

I was wondering if this would work for this thread: The last post was from the Wizard of Oz, so if I wanted to post next I would find something associated with the Wizard of Oz to get the next quote. Example I would do a quote from some other Judy Garland movie or a quote form The Wiz....

There are so many great movies out there and quotes from them, this would narrow down the search process and give some direction as to where to go next. Any thought on this idea???

Since the original idea wasn't working too well:o, I changed it to just pics of movie quotes, no guessing involved. Just trying to patch up the original awkward idea. I'll edit the first post so I stop confusing everyone;).
