Sony Alpha a-700 2.0 Upgrade

Has anybody done the version 1.0 to 2.0 upgrade on the a-700. Mostly just want to know it's safe and that it hasn't caused any issues for anybody that may reply. Also if you have and it worked can you tell the difference in image quality at low light and high ISO settings? Thanks

Yes I did the upgrade and so far so good ...No problems. I can say the noise is less at higher iso's than what is was before I did the upgrade. Hope this helps!
