D40 AM/PM setting?

Hi everyone,

I've noticed via flickr that it reports that my photos were taken in AM hours only.

Here's the EXIF for one of my photos.

On the left it says:
Taken on
September 8, 2007 at 1.35am EDT

The EXIF says:
Date and Time: 2007:09:08 01:35:22

However I took this shot in the afternoon, so it should be PM.

I've looked in the manual and all over the camera settings for an AM/PM setting, but nothing is there.

Is anyone else having this problem?

I don't have that issue. Is the time in your camera correct?

I have the D40x so not sure if it's exactly the same but...

Go into your setup menu, and then go to World Time. Go to Date and set your time in 24hr clock mode. (i.e. 1pm=13h)

I'm pretty sure you have to set the time using a 24-hour clock. Just fix that and you should be fine.

Thanks, that was it. Wasn't even thinking that it could be on a 24 hour clock.
