Rules are simple.

1) You read the latest post and see a subject of active game.
2) You take a photo of subject, but you have to hold a piece of paper with your forum name in frame. It would be even better,if this piece of paper fits nicely in composition :)
3) Post the photo here.
4) I you are first to post a reply, you can set a new topic.

I will start: I need a photo with any insect.

(You have to post a photo with any insect AND your name written on paper)

can you post the first pic so we can see an example? Am I the only one who is totally confused? Sorry you have to speak slowly for me... hehe :o

I concur, and would love an example. Of course, I haven't had my first cup of tea yet.

Instead of just posting an existing picture that we already have in storage, the threadstarter wants us to post a picture of whatever the current subject is along with our screenname on a piece of paper to prove that we really did just take the picture.

As in, someone will have to go find an insect to take a picture of and somehow place a piece of paper next to it with our screenname here on it. I'd certainly be willing to take the picture to demonstrate, but it's winter here and there's no insects to be found, let alone one that would be slow enough for me to place a piece of paper by it, then try to take a picture.

yeah, i'm not quite sure about this one.. sounds like an interesting concept, maybe just a bad place to start? I'm also starting another similar picture thread, should be fun if it goes well.

Sorry for confusion - smc1377 got it right. Maybe the subject is to blames as I also have the winter problem. It is really fun game if it gets started.

I will add another rule - if no one is willing to do the task for 3 days (maybe even less), subject can be changed by anyone.

I propose a new subject - should be easy one - show me a matchbox (rules about your forum name in picture still apply).

MarcoM-
You need to use [IMG] [/ IMG] and [/ URL] tags to post an image here, so your url for your image should look something like

[IMG]http://static.flickr.com/143/326946718_e48e56a161.jpg
[/ IMG][/ URL]
without the spaces

You can't use the html in this part of the forum. Easier is probably to just click the icon of the mountains in the bar above your post and put in the URL of the image and the site takes care of the rest :)

So basically I read this as a bit of a scavenger hunt... does that sound more applicable?

I did it the same as I have posted all the other pics to the froms.... (copied the thingie from under the pic at flicker) it just wouldn't work that time!?!?
The other tag works, it just pops up a window to view the pic......

Oh and by the way; the pic looks better if you magnify it after it pops up!

Okay, so I needed to play with my shutter settings a bit and probably use a tripod. I like how the shots came out on their own but the name tag is a bit hard to read so I played with some gamma settings and such in the RAW and I kinda like how it turned out. Color version is here (http://johnwright.homeip.net/dps/candlesm.jpg).
Next up.. hmm.. Let's go for a flower.
