Preferred lenses for shooting auto shows....

it's that time of the year in the states where large cities are having their annual auto shows (detroit, chicago, los angeles, new york, etc).

i, personally, am debating whether i should bring my 50mm f1.8 or my 17-40 f4L. i'd rather keep a low ISO, but i think the 50 won't be wide enough so i figure i'll bring the 17-40 and see how ISO 400 or so treats me under the lighting.

what equipment will you be shooting with?

In attending auto shows in the past, I've found that the wider, the better. There are just too many people there to try to use the 50mm (80mm with the 1.6 multiplier), IMO. That is unless you are going at a time of the day that hardly anyone will be there.
