When I took this photo I wanted to get the fading moon in the shot, and still get the port of Hydra.

I think that this is an okay shot. I think my main problem is the clutter that is in the port. Maybe the sky is disagreeable to me also, but the clutter is where I really lose interest.

I understand you wanted to get the moon, but I didn't even notice it until I read your post and you mentioned it. It is a very small part of this image. I think that perhaps taking this shot horizontally and concentrating on just the colorful roofs and all the boats it might look less cramped. I assume you took this on the Greek island of Hydra. The bright sun there can also play havoc with your shots. A polarizing filter can help or you can set the exposure compensation to darken it a bit.
