I recently picked up the Canon 30D and other than the large learning curve there is from a point and shoot I like it.
Any tips anyone has with this camera would greatly be appreciated
Thanks

I'm a 20D owner who wouldn't mind an upgrade (although I think I might go for a 5D unless Canon release something in the next few months).
What do you like about the 30D OnTheBeach?

Just me so far I guess. As for tips, just shoot pictures. Try different settings.
Try get away from the auto setting and try using the manual modes. It takes time to learn but the fun is in the learning. Auto does great, one should be better informed on what the camera can really do.
Check this link out. One of the first items I purchased for my 30D.

I would use this on any of my cameras.

I upgraded to a 30D from a Rebel XT not too long ago. There is certainly a learning curve coming from a point and shoot. Take lots of pictures and take the time to try different settings. I always feel like I'm taking a ton of pictures out and about, and get home and generally feel like I should have taken twice as much. If you have the space on your memory card it can pay off to grab a couple of shots in a row instead of doing one if you are photographing people or anything moving.
