I got a 50mm f/1.8 for my D40 a few weeks ago and I love it to bits. Manual focus only becomes a pain when you are chasing moving subjects and trying to take opportunistic shots.

well I just got swayed by this thread and a few reviews. I bought this combo (link below). Was going to get the D40x or the XTi and decided the extra pixels aren't worth the cost. Does anyone know much or use either of these lenses?

i have the 18-70mm dx lens, Came as part and parcel of the package i bought, Until recently purchasing a few other bits, it was never of my camera.
