i was just wondering what people thought the best DLSR lenses for shooting in wideangle?

Thanks!

I loved using a 24mm fixed lens with 35mm film cameras. That would be a 16mm lens for most DSLRs, but I couldn't find one (that I could afford) for a Nikon D70. So I opted for the Tamron 12-24mm zoom. So far, it's done a pretty good job, though I've read that you're better off not shooting wide open with this lens (though that's true for most lenses).

Just my $.02

I have a 10-20mm Sigma. I really like it and have had no problems although I guess it would be an ultra wide. Its f/4-5.6 which really isn't a problem since its mostly used out of doors anyway.

Hi there,
I have the Tokina 12-24mm. I really like this lens a lot. It is great fun to use and has a good solid build.
