with Christmas just right around the corner, one of the most common activities at this time are the numerous parties that people organize. it can be with your family, your friends, or your entire company (like what we'll be having tonight).

aside from making sure that your flash is working right, i'm just curious to know if you had any tips or secrets to making sure that i document the event well.

One tip I'd have is ensuring that if you have the option on your camera, make sure that you have your aperture as wide open as possible (low f/stop #). This combined with a higher ISO will let you take pictures without a flash in lower light situations.

Other than that, take lots of pictures, you never know what will come out as a priceless shot.

And don't forget to have fun yourself :)

If you have a small portable printer, you can take it with you and charge people right there and then for a print. They are likely to be drunk, and will fork the cash out very quickly... :)

Sometimes I can't help but think this isn't such a bad idea for events ;)

My family is crazy so always make sure you have the camera around your neck. Also, watch the young ones the most as they can make some great pics because they normally have too much energy around so many people!
