ok this is my last post for a while. I enjoy playing with nova or adobe to create different effects.

Very nice effect. Almost looks like a drawing.

Always happy to see folks trying new things. I am not familiar with the effect you produced here. There appears to be a subtle 'grid' pattern across the entire image. Where it covers the face bothers me a bit, particular the vertical lines that appear more pronounced. Perhaps this grid may be better suited for a male subject. May also want to crop off some of the mass of the tree she is next to as it dominates the scene. You have a nice flair for portraits. Keep up your good work there!

I don't think that I would have used this effect for most portraits, including this one. It looks to me like the *sp.? Craquelere filter from Photoshop. I believe that this portrait suffers from obvious over-processing. I am admittedly an amateur photographer, but I really think that certain Photoshop effects scream "I just got Photoshop!" and I think this is one. I love the shot and the idea of black and white, but all those lines really break up some of the lines that I think are desirable in the shot.

I appreciate your comments. I was playing with nova photoshop and used the crumpled paper effect. I agree that its not for all photos. But i like to try and see how they look.

If i crop the tree doesnt that bring the girl to the centre of the photo and therefore you lose the rule of thirds or doesnt this always apply to portraits?
I am new at this rule so im not sure if you use it all the time.
