My Samsung Pro815 is threaded on the end of the lens. It also comes with a step up ring to attach the sun shade. The size of the step up ring threads is 72mm but the threads on the end of the lens seem to be an odd size. The lens cap fits both the 72mm and the smaller one and is labeled 72mm/59.5mm.
Now...from what I can tell, 59.5mm filters dont exist. I've looked at common filter sizes and even looked on eBay and still found nothing.

Why would they use something odd like 59.5mm thread diameter on the end of the lens?

Yes I can, and I do... But if I don't want any filters on it, I usually just remove the 72mm attachment and I'd like to be able to keep the 59.5mm protector lens on at all times. (It should fit even with the 72mm ring).

Just got back from B&L Photo. When I asked about a 59.5mm filter, she looked at me funny and a customer laughed. I guess a call to Samsung is in order so I can find out what it's for.
